Nomad Dance Academy Advocates is a program of the Nomad Dance Academy network, established in 2012 as a permanent advocacy program for more stable working conditions in the field of contemporary dance in the Balkan region.

At advocacy events organized in different cities across the region, we invite artists, politicians, and decision-makers with the aim of directly exchanging various experiences and knowledge related to contemporary dance and the policies that shape this field. Through performative and informal communication, conversations, games, and the presentation of artistic works, representatives of ministries of culture, municipal public officials, and other decision-making bodies meet with artists, discover the world behind the stage, and gain a better insight into the potential of contemporary dance within the current cultural landscape.
