Our proposal was to remain in the realm of challenges and not succumb to the predictable. We wanted to deal with the materiality and physicality of the imagination of the (im)possible, and not just with the implications of imagination within the possible. In doing so, we explore in practice, on stage, how our fields of interest—contemporary dance and choreography—can contribute to the collective imagination of the unimaginable.
A great inspiration for this work is our fragmentary, inconsistent exploration of the Novi Sad neo-avant-garde; we tried to invite the spirits of our artistic ancestors so we can embrace the possibility that the future will be possible again.
The Student Cultural Center Novi Sad and Kino Šiška from Ljubljana generously supported our idea and this project.
