Sixteen years after the premiere of the hit dance production 1:0, a selection of dancers from the original Fičo Ballet cast decided to embark on a dance, soccer, and personal journey of self-reflection to see just how flexible their bodies still are and whether, after all this time, they are still capable of mounting a proper dance-soccer attack.

The dance performance 2:0 is a sequel to the legendary performance 1:0. In it, the choreographer put male ballet dancers in soccer shoes, transformed the stage into a soccer stadium, and staged a dance performance that boldly treads the fine line between art and populism, dance and sport, classical and contemporary.

The performance 1:0 loosened the classical ballet sentiment and its gracefulness with soccer humor and irony, while the cast infused the proverbial mythological and fairy-tale nature of classical ballet literature with a sporty wit that they themselves had somewhat missed in this serious milieu. 1:0 represents one of the last charming dance-theater highlights of the 1990s, the kind that characterized the theatrical youth of the new nation’s early years and the exceptional popularity of dance theater at the time.
